  • Fresh design for the patient registration page.
    • Adds an online patient registration form.
    • You can now complete part of your patient registration request online.
    • Health questionnaires can be sent to the practice online via a document upload.
  • The "Send a photo" form now supports an additional two photos.
  • The "Send a document" form now supports an additional two documents.
  • Added Telegram to the "Share this page" list in the footer. (We want to add Signal too, but they don't support this feature yet.)
  • The "Accessibility" button next to the breadcrumbs now has reduced prominence in favour of a link at the top of every page. The button will be removed in the next update.

Version 1.5.6 – September 24, 2020

  • Improved details included in clinic booking emails.
  • Improved the validation systems behind some forms:
    • Validation issue messages now appear at the top of the form instead of at the bottom.
    • Added an activity indicator to the "Send" button after it is pressed.
    • Fixed a bug that could lead to unintentional repeated form submissions if the success message was not closed or navigated away from on iOS.

  • Added a new high contrast theme.
    • This theme prioritises text, region, and control legibility over aesthetics.
      • Yellow is used for hyperlinks / interactive buttons
      • Green is used for text boxes / controls
  • Minor tweaks to language on the clinic appointment screens.
  • The invert colours theme has been spun out into a separate option, it may provide additional flexibility to the website appearance.
  • Fixed a minor "dark mode" display bug on some mobile devices.
  • Fixed a broken skip link.
  • Fixed a couple of aria accessibility label links.

Version 1.5 – September 7, 2020

  • Introduces new clinic booking system to support flu jab appointments.
    • We ask you for some information to determine eligibility
    • If you are eligible, we present a list of available time slots.
    • You choose your time slot, and provide us with some details, then your appointment is booked.
    • You'll then receive an email confirmation.
    • You can also cancel your appointment online, and re-book.
    • "Add to calendar" button with all the details of your appointment.
  • Added "Dark mode" support website appearance choices in accessibility options.
    • "Dark mode" can help to reduce eye strain in darker environments, and (depending on your device) may consume less power.
    • "Dark mode" is currently in a pre-release testing (beta) stage. Things may not be fully accessible, or appear incorrectly. If you have specific visual requirements, please use a different website appearance setting.
  • Accessibility settings are now in a slide-out panel.
  • Added an accessibility statement page.
  • Redesigned the page footer area.
  • Redesigned and simplified the cookie information page.
  • Improved presentation of news posts on homepage, news page, and archives.
  • Improved the cookie consent process to remember accessibility settings set before consent is given.

  • Fixed an issue where opening hours were calculated an hour behind.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause email messages to "pop out" of the normal screen bounds in iOS Mail.
  • Fixed an issue that caused text to be too dark in email messages when viewed on an Apple Watch.
  • Fixed an issue where the "News" page link could be missing in breadcrumb trail.
  • Fixed a rare issue where screenreader software could get trapped inside a modal dialog box.
  • Fixed a regression that caused some button styles to fail background / text contrast and hover colours.

  • This update brings considerable upgrades to usability and accessibility, especially for screen reader users.
    • Added validation messages under invalid fields.

  • Fixed an issue where date of birth changes were not being re-called if form validation failed.
  • Fixed an issue when the repeat prescription did not always show an empty row for medicine details.
  • Fixed an issue where receipt email addresses were not being validated correctly.
  • Replaced Google reCAPTCHA with hCaptcha. We expect this change to make security checks less frustrating, and require fewer repeat verifications from users using ad-blockers, blocking / restricting cookies, or using VPNs.

This is a large update bringing some major QOL upgrades and improvements to the website.

  • Added new "Travel advice" information. This will be populated and released in due course.
    • Per-country medication advice for travellers.
    • Details available medication, its cost, and protection and notice periods.
    • New enquiry form to send requests.
  • Redesigned the homepage service area. We hope this new layout will be more useful to our patients.
  • New emergency resources modal on the homepage.
  • Redesigned the main navigation links area.
    • Makes better use of the space available.
    • Surfaces search box for easier searching.
  • Removed "Text settings" menu in favour of new accessibility options page (more on this below).
  • Considerable upgrade to accessibility options:
    • Each accessibility option can be controlled independently of each other, feel free to mix and match to your needs.
    • Added font options including: sans-serif (default), serif, dyslexia-friendly, and monospace fonts.
    • Added website theme options including: default, inverted, and grayscale.
    • Added text weight options.
    • Added extra-large text option.
    • Added letter spacing options.
    • Added word spacing options.
    • Added text ruler option to assist with reading (works best on non-touch devices).
  • Fixed a few occurrences of labels that not properly connected to fields on some forms.

  • Added new top-level navigation area for account information. This replaces the previous "Account" menu, and we expect it will make it easier to get to your account information.
  • Added check for empty medicine details, will now display an empty row if none found.
  • Added "Edit again" button on account details and medicine page saved message.
  • Added new "Share with..." link to the footer. Use this to share directly with your contacts, apps (for example: OneNote, Telegram, Slack, and so on), system functions (like AirDrop or Reading List) via a system share sheet (on supported browsers, currently Safari on iOS or macOS, or Android Chrome).
